Makendoo workshops
are perfect for large festivals and fun days as they
create an instant carnival atmosphere and offer
interactive entertainment for children (and adults) of
all ages. Our workshops are always popular at festivals
as children are encouraged to be creative themselves
rather than just watching others entertain.
Makendoo
workshops
have been designed to deal smoothly and efficiently
with large numbers at busy events. We operate a
‘drop-in’ system with kids coming and going
throughout the day (no booking required). In a standard
day we can entertain up to 200 children, each child
making something to take home. The ‘makes’
are usually masks, hats and banners, which are visually
impressive and fairly quick to create. We are happy
working outdoors weather permitting.
PARADES
A
Makendoo workshop
is an ideal activity in the lead up to any parade. We
can either run our standard drop-in workshops, or we
can work with smaller groups of children (around 20) to
produce larger group items.

...
they were very busy on both days, and hugely popular
with the children and parents who attended. It really
was a great addition to the festival fun’.

‘They
were a delight to work with- and we work with all sorts
here! They were very organised and calmly managed two
busy days; our visitors were very happy with the things
their children made’. Rachel
Litton, Barrow Borough Council.
